Belgian mussels my way (Mejillones a la belga a mi manera)
Ingredients:
1 Kilo of good mussels
A little of parsley
2 Cloves of garlic. Chopped
1 Cup of good withe wine.
Don´t need salt
First of all, it´s necessary to clean the mussels and remove the beard.
It´s very important to be sure that mussels are alive before cooking. Open, broken or cracked mussel shells need to be discarded. Mussels which are still closed after cooking should also be discared
Put all the ingredients in a pot and boil a few minutes until the mussels open.
The tradition say that mussels must be eaten from the pot where they were cooked. In Belgium and France they are eaten with french fries. They also taste good when served with rice.

ReplyDeleteOh yum, these look delicious. I adore mussels, especially in a garlic wine sauce with a hunk of bread, but I've never attempted them at home. I must give it a try soon!
ReplyDeletePlease try it. It´s very easy and tasty. The worst is cleanning the mussels
